Pick it from the calendar, or type the name if it isn’t listed.
One week out, nothing changes any more: you check.
Official rule
Owners undertake not to leave their dog in a dangerous situation, for example in a car in hot or cold weather. A breach leads to exclusion and disciplinary action.
SCC, règlement des expositions canines (version du 24/10/2024), article 13.
MyDogShow tip
Do a “dry run” of the journey if the venue is new to you: find the exhibitors’ entrance and the car park. And don’t clip nails the day before: the dog may be tender and change how it stands.
Everything ready before dinner. A calm evening and a good night beat any training session.
MyDogShow tip
Lay out your clothes the night before too: plain, comfortable clothes and non-slip shoes for running in the ring. And get an early night: tomorrow will be a long day.
Example times, based on a real schedule: only your show’s schedule counts.
Official rule
Duty vets can refuse a dog entry or have it leave during the show; their decision is final. Calling or exciting a dog from outside the ring (double handling) is forbidden.
SCC, règlement des expositions canines (version du 24/10/2024), article 13, annexes A-5 et A-7.
Tick the list the night before. It stays ready for next time.

Paperwork
For you
Official rule
Only comb and brush may be used to prepare the dog inside the show venue; substances that change the structure, colour or shape of the coat are forbidden, as are grooming nooses.
SCC, règlement des expositions canines (version du 24/10/2024), article 13, annexes A-6 et A-7.
MyDogShow tip
Keep a “show bag” always ready at home, with duplicates (bowls, towels, bags). You’ll only need to add water, food and paperwork.
Your ticket and lists stay on this phone. Nothing is sent to MyDogShow.
